A Matrix Defined

This program covers the very important topic of defining a matrix and explaining why matrices are useful in mathematics. We begin by teaching students practical situations where a matrix might be useful to solve a problem in order to frame the importance of the material. We then show how to write a matrix down and how to properly identify the rows and columns of the matrix. We also discuss how to name matrices.
